We have recently switched to using distilled water in our water lines for doing our procedures.
As you know, distilled water has eliminated the bacteria from the water making dentistry possible under complete sterile environment.

What Really Qualifies as a Dental Emergency?

There are real dental emergencies, and then there are those problems you are having that can be fixed by making an appointment to see us at a later time.

However, there are a few different things that truly qualify as a real dental emergency. If you have problems with anything in the information below, see us as soon as possible so we can help you with your real dental emergency.

Knocked out Tooth

If you were hit in the face by someone or something or fell and hit your face on the hard concrete and knocked out a tooth, you have a real dental emergency and will need to see us right away. However, on your way here, protect the tooth that got knocked out by placing it in milk or holding it in between your cheek and gum area.

A Loose Tooth or One That is Out of Alignment

If you have a tooth hanging by the nerve, and it seems like it is getting ready to fall out, see us for this dental emergency right away. We will pull the tooth so you won't be in pain anymore.

While waiting to get here, you can try putting the tooth back in where it is supposed to go until you get to our office for the dentist to pull it out for you. Try not to add too much pressure to it if you decide to put it back in its place.

Chipped, Fractured, or Cracked Tooth

If your tooth is chipped, broken, or cracked, you should see us. Although this is not as bad as the rest, and you can wait a day or two to come in to see us, you can also see us the same day, and we will look at it.

The first two problems with teeth are more critical than the last one but these all qualify as a dental emergency, and we can help you immediately with this. Contacting us is the best thing you can do for a dental emergency.

If you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment, please call us at (949) 574-0100 today.
