![]() When it does happen though, it is important that you speak with our dental office so that we can give you further information on what you need to do to eat while the tooth is broken, though we do our best to make sure to get you in as soon as possible because we know how uncomfortable this can be for someone to have to deal with and chew with. Eating with a Cracked MolarTake over the counter pain relievers if you are in any sort of pain or if you have sensitivity in that tooth. You can also find a filler material over the counter that can fill in the crack of the molar so that the dentist is able to remove it when they go to fix the crack. This not only helps the tooth stay intact, but it can also reduce the number of bacteria that gets into the crack before it is able to be fixed in our office. It is important that you chew on the other side. This will reduce the amount of damage that is done on the broken molar for the other side. Eating soft foods is also recommended, or soups until it is fixed. As soon as you notice that you have a cracked or broken molar, you need to give our office a call. We can get you in as soon as possible so that you don't have to worry about not being able to chew anything or deal with any pain that might come from this. Speak with us today so we can get you in as soon as possible to fix the issue. |
